At our meeting this past week we talked about all things Tastes & Tunes Goes to the Races. The event is taking place on Sunday October 13 from 3pm-6pm at DeSales University. Sponsorship and ticket information is available on our website OR you may reach out directly to Dana Huber (huberd@bavts.org) . Everyone should have also received an email from DeeDee Foran requesting volunteers for day of event help. If you did not receive that email, please reach out to DeeDee (deedeeforan@gmail.com) . Please remember, this is our one and only fundraiser so it is crucial that we all support this event by gathering auction items, sponsorships and purchasing tickets.
Deb Walter, Foundation Grant Committee Chair, is looking for our club members to reach out to their favorite organizations to remind them to apply for a grant. We will begin the process of reviewing applications and awarding grants in October. Deb is also looking for members of the grant committee, so if you are interested in taking part in this please reach out to her (deb@prioritybracelet.com).
As a reminder, our First Wednesday Evening meeting is this week and a change of venue for this month. We will be meeting at Edge Restaurant, 74 W Broad St, Suite 220 at 5:30. Parking is located in the parking garage, located off of North St. where the 4th floor will take you directly to the pedestrian bridge.

Membership Committee is meeting on October 1. Please be on the lookout for exciting information and opportunities to join this committee.
We have formed a Finance Committee to help with continuity and (hopefully) providing experience for someone interested in becoming treasurer, as well as keeping the club more informed of club finances.
We have an upcoming service project tentatively for the end of October. We will be asking for volunteers shortly to assemble Polio vaccine information packets.
