Last week we collaborated with the Rotary Club of Behtlehem Morning Star to bring the Four Way Test Speech Competition back to our Clubs and will continue to do so for future years. Although I was unable to attend the meeting and to hear the speeches this past week, I wanted to thank everyone who did attend and who helped out, especially Dana Huber and Jennifer Cunningham (from Morning Star) who worked really hard on the finer details to make this happen. But the biggest kudos go to Jill Long…..she has advocated for at least the past 2 years to bring this back and this year we were able to make it happen. For those who may not know, Jill worked tirelessly (as she always does) from her home as she recovered from knee surgery to make this a smooth and successful event. And special thanks to those who stood up to judge this event and to the three amazing high school students who showcased their writing and presentation skills.
On Tuesday March 26 St. Luke’s is hosting an event on behalf of Dr. Robert Sharpe to celebrate and acknowledge the 10 years of work and labor of love he has put into the St. Luke’s International Medical Program. Dr. Sharpe is a Rotarian himself, so the organizers wanted to invite members of other Rotary Clubs to attend the event.
If you have not done so yet, please remember to register for the District Conference being held at Wind Creek Casino April 26-28.
This Wednesday's meeting (March 27th) will be held at Moravian Village at noon and we will have Amy Cohen presenting her classification talk.
